Face-mounting to Acrylic or “Plexiglas”
This is perhaps the most exciting and popular method of presenting and preserving exhibition and fine-art photographs. Using optically clear materials, we mount your photos to plexiglas, usually either 1/8″ or 1/4″ in thickness. This makes a beautiful presentation, It imparts an optically clear surface which actually causes the eye to respond more directly to the image, it provides rigid support, and a surface glazing which protects the photo from airborne pollution, finger-printing, and, if you request, protection from UV (ultra-violet) light and radiation. Plexiglas has a higher light transmission capability than glass, it is also lighter in weight, and more durable than glass, making it the optimal surface mount for fine-art photographs.

Various finishes are available for the acrylic face-mounts, and the exhibition environment should be considered before selecting a finish:
a. High gloss - brilliant, polished, glass-like clear
b. Optimum (no gloss) – museum quality, optically clear, no reflectivity
c. UV inhibited gloss – polished and treated for UV resistance
d. Luster – “satin” finish, or “non-glare” plexiglas (available in 1/8″ thickness only)
UV Laminations
UV laminations on photographs have been popular for decades. An extremely thin layer of transparent plastic film is applied to the surface of your print using optically clear adhesives, and then the photographs are extremely resistant to surface marring, finger-printing, airborne pollution and moisture. Although the films are all pH neutral, under certain environments, and when applied to certain surfaces, they may shrink slightly over time, making them ideal for short-run or intermediate term presentations. The lamination materials are available in a variety of finishes, including:
